What Are You Waiting For?
February 21st, 2008
Each day you have 86,400 seconds to make a difference in your life and the lives of others. That is the same amount of time that George Bush, Bill Gates, Oprah, and every other person has on the planet to get all the things done that define their lives. You are not too busy to get done what needs to be done. You are too busy doing things that may be better left undone or delegated to someone else.
I am dedicated to creating an ACTIVE community of people who are committed to working (not just talking about or learning about) to change the quality of their existence as well as the existence of those they encounter. I strongly encourage that you get very SERIOUS about transforming your life for the better, because you do not know how long you have left to make a difference, and the world needs you NOW.
STOP passively reading and regretting and get involved in the game. When you visit this site read the exercises or content, and then apply it. Even the quotes here are selected for their ability to connect with the heart so that you can feel and apply the lesson contained within them.
The information I provide is intended for you to USE IT not peruse it!
Stop being addicted and seduced by your feelings and your history, and start measuring the quality of your beliefs and actions by the quality of your results. If you are not living the life you deserve, when are you going to get started? How about now?
When I share something with you, it is because I can see the light within you even when you do not. A life of exceptional beauty is the end product of simple disciplines lovingly applied over time, and ALL of these disciplines are already known to you. There is nothing I will ever say that you don’t already know, because the truth lives within every one of us.
Let me be very clear here. I am not looking to be novel or even innovative. Simple, obvious changes applied over time will transform your life for the better. I don’t care if what I am saying is not new to you. It doesn’t matter if an idea or practice isn’t new to you, if you aren’t currently doing it. There is a huge gap between what you know and what you do, and this blog is intended to remind you of that difference.
Examples: Everyone knows that overeating is unhealthy, but too many people still do it. People know that smoking is bad for your health, but they still smoke three packs a day. You know you need to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, but most people don’t.
Obvious facts are ignored everyday, because people are so busy trying to think, trick, wait, or research their way to an easy answer, that years of their lives are lost to being busy. If you want to radically improve your results, you have got to get out of your head and get into your heart (also known as your spirit). Your heart knows that you are powerful beyond measure, but if your beliefs tell you that other people are holding you back, your feelings make you sad and depressed and you will blame and complain about others.
Your feelings are not your heart. Your feelings are your reaction to an experience filtered through your current beliefs. When your beliefs are of low quality, your feelings must reflect them. Your feelings will have you judge yourself and others harshly, but your feelings will never provide a solution to any challenge you encounter. Your heart is where your power is, and through it you can overcome any obstacles, but to engage your heart you have got to have the faith to begin changing today.
What you think you know is what is keeping you stuck. YOU DESERVE BETTER than you are allowing for yourself, but if you are not willing to be an active player in the game, then you have no right to complain about the outcome.
Live your life by design, not default,
Mario

I share your belief that life is as good as you make it. I use a movie metaphor on my Reel Life Wisdom site that suggests each person is the director and star of their own life’s movie. Great movies and great lives have three things in common - a defined lead character, an interesting story, and a colorful supporting cast.
I appreciate your perspective.

Hi Doug,
Thank you for the feedback. I could not agree more about movies and great lives being similar, because we are all living out the story of our beliefs everyday, and if we want our story to have a good ending, we need to raise our level of belief and expectation.
I took a quick trip over to your website and I find it very interesting. Often I find quotes more interesting and compelling than other prose, because a good quote often gets to the point and connects with the heart quicker than even the best written prose. Some of my favorite quotes are like little pills of instant insight.
I look forward to hearing more from you in the future, and I also look forward to taking a deeper look at your site.
Thanks for participating,
Mario
