Dare to Change Challenge 11/04/07
November 4th, 2007
Are you too busy to take care of the things that matter? Are you among the many who claim that you would exercise but you just don’t have the time? Do you put off spending time with loved ones or family until you finish working on your current important project (and you keep getting similar projects)?
This weeks dare to change challenge is to establish a time journal in which you keep track of how you are spending your time. If you spend more than 15 minutes working at something then put it in the journal. Try to follow your usual routine, because the goal is to get a better idea of how you are actually spending your time.
Once the week is over, see how much time you actually spend on the activities that will move you towards your vision of your future. If not, what do you need to do differently? If one of your values is to show your family how much you love them, is that commitment reflected in the amount of time and energy you share with them? How much of your time is spent on meaningless activities like sitcom television?
None of us knows how long we have to make a difference in our lives and the lives of others, so we all need to make sure that we keep ourselves accountable to our life’s vision. A time journal is one of the tools you can use to keep yourself on track with your professed goals and values.

Excellent Challenge!
I keep a 3×5 note pad with me where I
keep all of my target items for the day.
Once I’ve completed that item, I check
it off as being completed. ;o) [SUCCESS]
You’re so right when it comes to spending
time rather than investing your time. When
we invest like in the stock market, we are
expecting a high return to keep our dividends
in the positive.
It’s the same with our lives and our goals.
Fantastic!
Live Life to Leave a Difference,
