Christmas is…

Part of the magic of the season,
Reveals life’s joyous revelry,
Because the most precious gift is life,
And we are branches on that tree,
Reaching out we serve each other,
A mighty, surging cavalry,
Wielding weapons forged in faith,
Until the day all hearts beat free,

Part of the magic of the season,
Is to honor sacrifice,
Because the trunk of our life’s tree,
Was built upon the life of Christ,
For me he was messiah,
He lived and died for his beliefs,
He died for our salvation,
He lived and died that we might be,
But even if he’s not your heart’s messiah,
He lived and he died upon the cross,
Treasure his loving message,
For which his breath of life was lost,

Live not in service to the life’s pleasures,
For once claimed, they quickly flee,
But embrace the life of the spirit,
Where I am you and you are me,

We all are branches born of spirit,
So what you give, you shall receive,
And Love’s the greatest gift of all,
The nectar that feeds life’s mighty tree,

Christmas is a time of truth and faith,
Of miracles created and revealed,
A time where faith shines out,
Awakening dreams too long concealed,

The legacy of this day’s remembrance,
Is that the time for fear has past,
So embrace works of the spirit,
For only spirit grows and lasts.

Christmas is more than just a day,
It is the love that grows in you,
Not for the moment or the day,
But for each day life’s gift renews.
