Blow Up Your TV

Go ahead…Do it! (Just kidding!)

I am probably just about as addicted as a human being can be to watching television and still be functional. However, I now realize that if I had spent just half of those hours reading, or learning, or almost anything other than tv, my life would be 100% improved.

So for today I have a radical idea for you tv lovers. Do not turn your tv on at all tonight (aka Blow It Up). Spend tonight reading that book you’ve been meaning to start, spend some time cleaning that closet you’ve been meaning to get to, or spend some real quality time with a loved one.

I love TV. But I also have other loves that I neglect from time to time. Blowing up my tv every now and then is the way I honor all of my different loves.

Step away from the TV for one night…it will be there when you are done.

Seven Letters to Redemption

Sometimes the best gift you can give yourself is an apology to someone else. For all that I find myself growing in passion for life, like everyone else, I still find myself drawn to old patterns in long established relationships. It is ok in this life to make a mistake, but it is also ok to learn from your mistakes.

The seven letters to redemption are…. I’m sorry.

When you find that you have wronged someone, do not let the sun set on that day without you offering them an apology. A sincere apology is a gift to both the giver and the receiver. You will feel better about yourself, and the receiver will see that you are a person of thoughtfulness and integrity.

Our world is filled with people proselytizing about others flaws and weaknesses. The trick is to realize that someone is probably doing the same about you…and sometimes they are right.
