Twenty Five Productivity Tips
1. Put time specific actions on your calendar.
2. Baby Steps. Any project no matter how large can be broken down into baby action steps. Set small specific goals
3. Fill your day with mini-goals and rewards for accomplishing small goals.
4. Commit to working on all of your projects for a total of 10 minutes each day
5. At the end of the day, spend 10 minutes planning your schedule for tomorrow.
6. Make your lunch for the next day while preparing dinner.
7. Lay out your clothes, pack your backpack, purse, and lunch bag prior to going to bed.
8. Use the 50 page rule for books you read. If you aren’t interested by then, you aren’t going to finish the book.
9. Use the 20 minute rule for movies. If you aren’t interested by then, why waste the next hour and ten minutes to hour and 40 minutes watching the rest?
10. Make use of your downtime. Keep a file of articles you would like to read, or listen to audiobooks while driving.
11. Pay bills the moment they come, or set up the electronic payment immediately.
12. Always put your keys in the same place.
13. When you start feeling burned out take a day off.
14. Delegate when possible.
15. Just do it.
16. Be realistic in setting your goals.
17. When something is out of place, return it to its home
18. Wash your dishes after every use.
19. Take the garbage out everyday.
20. Keep a clutter free work surface. -It makes it easier to identify the important from the unimportant, saves time finding things, and order Is calming.
21. Use the one in one out rule. For every one thing you purchase, find, or are given, eliminate, resolve, or file another.
22. Focus on one thing at a time.
23. Learn to say “no”.
24. Get rid of what you don’t need or use.
25. Get a good night’s sleep.
